Types of Executive
Retained searches are generally the appropriate choice for organizations
which have specific needs at the Executive level.
The Retained Search is a very focused and exclusive engagement
between our firm and your organization which has the highest priority
in the work which we do. In addition to developing a complete
profile for the ideal candidate for this position, we get to know
the senior executive to whom this position reports, as well as
your organization culture, to understand the type of executive
who will best suit the needs or your organization now and into
the future. We also develop a target list of companies from whom
we might expect to find the ideal candidate, and then develop
a high profile listing of individuals within those target companies
whom we will approach as possible candidates. We then prepare
a detailed profile on each candidate presented to you with full
background information. A complete set of reference reports, customized
to your needs, is provided on each finalist candidate prior to
consideration for an offer. We then assist you as necessary in
negotiating a final offer and acceptance.
Fees for Retained Searches are paid on a set schedule commencing
at the start of the search and completing and the conclusion of
The Contingency Search is the type of search in which we tailor
our recruitment to your needs in a non-exclusive engagement. These
searches we typically do at the staff, manager, and director levels
for our clients. We will source, identify and recruit the professional
who meets your needs. We offer reference checks at the end of
the process unless otherwise agreed upon. Candidates are thoroughly
qualified prior to submittal so that you are not just receiving
a resume. We will inform you of who the candidate is beyond the
resume (their success, management skills, specifics to their
day to day responsibilities, etc.).
Fees for Contingency Searches are paid only upon successful placement
of a candidate at the conclusion of the search.
The Contained Search is really a combination of a Retained Search
and a Contingency Search. Generally, this is a semi-exclusive
engagement, often used at the manager and director levels for
our clients, but sometimes at the vice-president level as well.
This type of search is given a higher work priority that Contingency
Searches, but lower than Retained Searches. We will source, identify
and recruit the professional who meets your needs. We provide
reference checks at the end of the process. Candidates are thoroughly
qualified prior to submittal and we will inform you of who the
candidate is beyond the resume (their success, management skills,
specifics to their day to day responsibilities, etc.).
Fees for Contained Searches consist of an upfront non-refundable
commitment fee with the balance of the search fee paid only upon
successful placement of a candidate at the conclusion of the search.
